Explain that InChI
I am flagging this news for all people working in chemistry, or chemistry-related fields. The Beilstein Institut just published a tool that lets you draw a molecule, calculates the InChI and offers the possibility to hover over the molecule structure and highlight the parts in the InChI string that describes a part of the molecule. NFDI4Earth
Improved workflows for freshwater data workflows
Dealing with geospatial data of the highly connected freshwater ecosystem brings it own challenges. Yusdiel Torres-Cambas et al. worked on improving the workflows in the NFDI4Earth Pilot Project "The seamless interoperability of geospatial freshwater tools" and you can read about the project outcomes in the now published final report.

An effective support network
NFDI4Earth established a User Support Network (USN) to help researcher with all their questions around research data management. They establish a ticket system, connected with experts from other NFDI consortia and much more. Specially interesting for people working in support structure, so have a look at the report by Hela Mehrtens et al.

Status of FAIR in the Earth System Sciences
Over the last few years, NFDI4Earth has collected a lot of feedback and made a gap analysis. Where are problems with the implementation of FAIR workflows. In their report Martin L. Schumann et al. identified four gaps, which are described in more detail in the report.

The central entry point to all services: OneStop4All version 3
All tools, services and resources of the NFDI4Earth are accessible via the central entry point OneStop4All. In a report Christin Henzen et al. describe and show the new features of the web portal.

AI-ready science
It is time for another presentation by Samantha Pearman-Kanza. This time it is about AI-readiness of data, how FAIR and AI are connected and what role electronic lab notebooks can play. I find especially interesting slide number 35 with the title "Five Foundations for AI-Ready Science".
