Let us take another look at forschungsdaten.info for events in Germany during the Love Data Week. Yesterday we already checked everything around electronic lab notebooks, today we look at more general introductions into research data management (RDM). Many of the introduction events are on Monday, and they are nicely timed so that you could visit them all. All the lectures and workshops mentioned have the goal of a general introduction to RDM, but offer different perspectives. There are events focussing on the requirements by funders (e.g. Monday 12:00 – 12:30 pm or Tuesday 1:00 – 3:00 pm), tools that can help with better RDM (Monday 2:00 -3:00 pm or Tuesday 11:00 – 11:45 am) or showcasing some real-life examples of good research data management (Wednesday 10:00 – 10:45 am). Should your whole week be blocked with other things, no worries, on Friday at 2:00 pm you have the chance to join a “Speed Dating” session, where you also will learn everything about research data management.

If you are new to the field of RDM, I would recommend catching at least one of these sessions. Please note, that a lot of these events are in German, and some require registration. Be aware that this is only a selection, and new events are added to the list daily, so please check the list and comment if you find that I missed a good introduction event.
