Careers and Skills for Data-Driven Research (CaSDaR) Network+
The slides of a presentation on "The Careers and Skills for Data-Driven Research (CaSDaR) Network+ Empowering Data Stewards for Research Excellence" were uploaded to Zenodo. This new network, which launched in April 2025, has the goal to establish a "diverse, inclusive, self-sustaining community of Data Stewards and create a model for data steward support systems". Since the news digest today is quite short, I want to use the opportunity to thank you all for reading, liking and sharing these overviews. Collecting the information for the News Digest each week helps me to stay up-to-date (at least a little bit) with new developments in RDM in natural sciences, and I hope it does the same for you. I know that I am probably missing some important sources, so if you can think of an initiative, project, software or similar I should in cloud, please let me know in the comments!
I also want to point to three online workshops I will do together with DECHEMA in September and October 2025. The first workshop will be a basic introduction to RDM, the other two are more focused: one on data publishing and funder requirements and the other one on electronic lab notebooks, all three will be in German. It is highly appreciated if you share the events with people you know from academia and industry.
