No, it is not Friday, the latest new digest is one day early this week, I hope you don’t mind 😀
NFDI4Chem
Improving your research data management is not only beneficial to getting funding or publishing your articles, it can also be a useful skill set that can boost your career, this is what NFDI4Chem is discussing in their latest article RDM an ace up the sleeve. And I agree, RDM can definitely be a skill set to put on your CV.
PSDI
PSDI is reporting on the MACIES (machine-actionable data interoperability for the chemical sciences) workshop, which took place in April in Berlin. The article has a lot of useful links to the results of the different workshops and a more detailed discussion regarding semantic annotation standards & tools. You can read the article as well as the documentation here.

Outro
Today’s outro I want to use to just let you know that I am working on two things in the field of gamification, the first one is that I am preparing something like a game session regarding data storage and publishing, with the goal of teaching the basic ideas and concepts with this 90-120 min session. The second one is, that I am working on a re-work of The Chemotion Files, to make them easier and more interactive to use. So stay tuned for more updates on that in the near future. As always, if you are in need for a consultation of your research data management or some training sessions, feel free to contact me at any time.
Thanks for reading and have a nice day!
