DALIA – A basis service in NFDI?
This update is not chemistry-specific, but NFDI4Chem has a short report about it on their webpage. The Data Literacy Alliance (DALIA) has submitted a proposal to become a BASE4NFDI service. DALIA has the goal to provide a centralized platform for teaching and training materials in data literacy as well as research data management. You can read more in the article by NFDI4Chem:

PSDI Webinar recording – Sample tracking with Ampletracks
On the YouTube channel of PSDI a new webinar recording is available. This one is from March 2024 and is showing the software Ampletracks. A web-app for sample tracking in and out of laboratory environments. It looks quite interesting, and I will take a closer look at the demo in the next few weeks. If you are interested in this software, I recommend to check out the full video, below you can check out the live demo part of the talk.
Love Data Week 2025
Today starts the Love Data Week 2025. During this week a lot of talks, coffee lectures, seminars, demonstrations and workshops are held on the topic of research data management and more. You should definitely take the time and join some of those events. You can find the international program here:
https://www.icpsr.umich.edu/web/about/cms/3799?utm_source=all&utm_medium=all&utm_campaign=LDW23&utm_id=LDW23
And for the German-speaking community, the program is collected by forschungsdaten.info here:

The website is in German, but there are also some events which are in English. So brows the program and check out some fantastic events.
In Leipzig with NFDI4Chem
In the past weeks I already mentioned the cooperation with NFDI4Chem, and I am very happy to support them as a trainer at their next FAIR research data management: Basics for chemists workshop in Leipzig on Thursday and Friday this week. You can check out the event on the NFDI4Chem webpage:
https://www.nfdi4chem.de/event/fair-research-data-management-basics-for-chemists-in-leipzig/
On BlueSky I will post some pictures and reports from the workshop, so if you are interested in getting some insights on these workshops, make sure to follow me there: @thefairelephant.bsky.social.
That is it for today and as always, thanks for reading and see you next week!
